Description: Acrylic on pre-made canvas with standard Stretchers. This piece was created on a lighter canvas—something I sometimes choose simply to keep the momentum going and stay focused on the act of painting itself. Although these canvases are meant to be durable and retain color reasonably well over time, I occasionally find myself wishing I had used my usual handmade, custom-stretched canvases with their higher-quality priming and base preparation. Those offer a level of craftsmanship and longevity that I deeply value—but in the moment, the urgency to paint takes over
